After Ex-Super eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi resigned , there has been a recent scramble on who to replace him .

Victory: Arsenal celebrate beating Everton in the Women's FA Cup final on Sunday

It has been a triumphant season in the FA Cup as Arsenal Ladies for the 13th time and counting,  beat Everton with a 2 – 0  giving coach Shelley Kerr a triumphant send-off  at the Women’s FA Cup final at stadium in Milton Kenyes on Sunday, 1st of June, 2014.

Kelly Smith’s free-kick put Arsenal in front in the first half and the experienced England star set up Japan international Yukari Kinga for the second shortly after the hour mark.

It was a second successive FA Cup title for Arsenal and Kerr, who also guided the club to Continental Cup success last season but recently decided to resign after a poor start to the Women’s Super League season.

The win also means the club has completed an FA Cup double for the second time in its history, following the men’s win over Hull City at Wembley.

ARSENE WENGER HAS SIGNED A NEW 3 YEAR DEAL; FOR BETTER OR WORSE ?

Just few days after Arsenal broke the jink of 9 years and won the FA cup over Hull City,  Arsene Wenger agreed to a new deal with the club on Friday.

MANCHESTER UNITED APPOINTS NEW MANAGER


62-year old Louis Van Gaal is the newly appointed manager to the football club. Van has been handed a 3-year contract.

Manchester United have officially appointed Louis van Gaal as the club’s new manager. Ryan Giggs who was formerly appionted to take over from the laid-off manager,David Moyes will stay on as Van’s number 2

Ed Woodward announced this appointment :“In Louis van Gaal, we have secured the services of one of the outstanding managers in the game today. He has achieved many things in his career to date and Old Trafford provides him with a fitting stage on which to write new chapters in the Manchester United story.

Congrats to Manchester United …..Fingers crossed though.

MANCHESTER CITY TAKE HOME PREMIERSHIP TITTLE


Well unbleivably true is that Manchester City lifts the title again , which is the second time in three years as they missed out to Manchester united last season.It was a 2-1 win against Newcastle. The Barclays Premier League trophy for the second time in three seasons amid jubilant scenes at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The trophy marks Manuel Pellegrini’s first league league title since leaving South America for Europe in July 2004, and is his second piece of silverware this term after guiding City to Capital One Cup glory earlier this year.

A goal in each half from Samir Nasri and Vincent Kompany sealed the win over West Ham, while Liverpool went a goal down at Anfield and required second-half strikes from Daniel Agger and Daniel Sturridge to end their campaign with a victory.

Just Barely Eleven months after being handed a six-year contract as Sir Alex Ferguson’s hand-picked successor , David Moyes seems to be having ill luck as it appears that those in charge at Old Trafford have finally seen enough. According to widespread reports on Monday, a 2-0 defeat to Everton has proven the final straw for Manchester United’s owners, the Glazer family , and vice-president, Ed Woodward, with manager David Moyes set to be relieved of his duties any time now.
