Fortune and good luck has smiled on residents of the Delta state as An indigenous firm, A & E Petrol has crashed the price of kerosene from N165 to N50 per litre in the oil rich riverine communities of Ugborodo and Tebi-Ijoh, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State.
Chairman and CEO of A & E Petrol, Chief Ayirimi Emami in an interview, while supervising the sale of the one million litres of kerosene to Ajudaibo, Ogidigben, Tebi-Ijoh and other riverine oil and gas bearing communities disclosed that the subsidy, which cost his company over N70 million is the beginning of a long term plan to make kerosene and fuel easily accessible to people of the riverine communities in Delta State at affordable prices. At least there is something finally good or to be proud of about Nigeria. We all heard and knew about the deadly Ebola disease which spread through west Africa and unfortunately was brought into the country.
As at now there are no Ebola patients under quarantine and surveillance in Nigeria. So what really happened? Was it the doctors, the Ebola teams? or Even Prayers that helped subdue this deadly outbreak in the country.
The United States are still marvelled as how Nigeria did this or helped manage this outbreak and also Stunned by the entrance of the Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, into America, the United States’ Center for Disease Control and Prevention has despatched its personnel to study how Nigeria contained the killer disease. It seems very soon a cure would be available for the dreaded and deadly disease which has claimed the lives of many mostly in West Africa.
Good news is that researchers at the Public Health Agency of Canada announced that a prototype drug, ZMapp, that has been urgently given to a handful of patients with Ebola has cleared an important test hurdle.

Not too long after the super eagles were defeated by France in the quarter finals of the FIFA 2014 World Cup, Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi and the team captain Joseph Yobo have both quit the team.
Vanguard reports that they after failing to qualify to the quarter-final stage of the 2014 World Cup.
Speaking this evening after the Eagles’ loss to France in the round of 16, Keshi said it was time to move on.
“I have to go back to my family and face fresh challenges,” Keshi said.
Eagles Captain, Yobo Joseph also said he’s had enough and can go no further as national team player.
“I think I should give the younger ones the opportunity
to forge ahead. I have nothing new to offer.”
