The deadly EBOLA virus has now entered the country of Spain as about Fifty individuals are currently under surveillance. A Spanish nurse has now contacted the virus after after treating two Spanish missionaries who died of the disease after being flown home from the wests african region .Mr Garcia Viejo, 69, died at the hospital on 25 September after catching Ebola in Sierra Leone. Mr Pajares, 75, died in August after contracting the virus in Liberia.
Reports state that it took almost one week for the nurse to be tested for Ebola even after she contacted a medical center on September 30th, complaining that she felt feverish.
Three other people, including the nurse’s husband, have been quarantined.
Was going through a news report which stated that Nigeria is free of Ebola as there are no individuals under surveillance How true is this? How do individual Nigerians live in fear or free?

A member of the World Health Organisation committee of experts on Ebola Virus Disease in West Africa, Prof. Victor Inem, has said cured Ebola victim could be re-infected with the same virus if fresh contact was made with carriers.
He stated this on Wednesday at a one-day train the trainer workshop on Ebola prevention and control organised by the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital for the medical stakeholders.
Speaking on the overview of the EVD Outbreak in West Africa Sub-Region, he said, “Even when victims of EVD have been cured, there are still possibilities that they can re-contract the virus if they do not avoid body fluids from sufferers and animals believed to be carriers of the virus.
