2014 BUDGET PASSED BY THE SENATE. GUESS HOW MUCH ?

On Wednesday April 9th , the Senate  passed the 2014 budget which began a debate on the 2014 Appropriation bill with members disagreeing along party lines on its passage.

The bill passed totals a huge sum of N4.695tr, an amount which is N52.2bn higher than the N4.642trl which was submitted by President Goodluck Jonathan to the National Assembly on December 19, 2013, through the coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Highlights of the 2014 budget as approved by the senate are, Statutory Transfers (N408,687,801,891), Debts Service (N712,000,000,000), Recurrent Expenditure (N2,454,887,566,702), Capital Expenditure (N1,119,614,631,407) while the Aggregate Expenditure is N4,695,190,000,000.

ANOTHER STRIKE WAR AS NLC AND TUC BEGIN MASS NATIONWIDE PROTEST

As I’ve said before that the word and action “STRIKE” is synonymous with our country Nigeria.
As I’m writing this , the ASUU strike is still on and things haven’t been resolved.
The NLC nigerian labour congress and TUC trade union congress has given directive to their affiliates all over the country to begin mobilisation for a nationwide protest against the senate decision to remove the national minimum wage from the constitution.

This one is going to be war o. Hmmm.
But seriously asking , why would the senate remove the minimum wage from the constitution ??? What reasons do they have now ?

The minimum wage is not a living wage at all but just a mere form of guarantee for existence and survival in our hustling nation.

Please o. Help the mass. Help Nigerians.
